The original plan for a short morning tour of the East side of Vail Pass ended up turning into a whole day of exploration. We ended up finding great steeps, great deeps, a 12,000 foot abyssal plain (of sorts), an exquisite wind-lip for a jump, and some extra fun sun-crusted glades. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
