5/20/2010 – Jonny and I set out on this beautiful spring day with the goal in mind of bagging both Dragon’s Tail and Dead Elk couloirs up in RMNP. Once above Emerald Lake, we began punching through and, after minimal discussion, we decided that it was not the safest day to run these classic south-facing lines. Fortunately enough, we spotted a small chute of snow across the valley that neither of us had ever seen filled in. Jonny said he wanted to ski it, and I knew it was over my head, so I hung back and shot his swift ascent and descent of what we now call the “Cabbage Couloir.” If you would like to bag it, I wish you the best of luck in ever seeing that filled in again!

Amazing shots! It looks so beautiful there!
That black and white shot is awesome, real nice.
