3/13/2011 – When you head out in the morning with a beautiful peak in mind, its hard to back down and call it off when the conditions aren’t safe. Although sometimes, you get lucky, and your ski plans are interrupted by wonderful deep powder. Dave, Jonny, and I set out with the plan of bagging Sawtooth Peak in the Indian Peaks this lucky morning, and ended up enjoying a few laps on Coney Island, with snow that was deep enough to offer up faceshots, smiles, and a whole lot of woopin’ and hollerin’… Really unfortunate day! Also, check out a short video Dave put together of the day on the BCA blog.
