4/31/2011 – The last day of April is one of the best days to get faceshots. Why? Because many ski resorts are already closed, many of your friends have put their ski equipment away, and you (as well as your few devoted… or “obsessed” friends) are still getting better turns than those ready for summer did on their best day of winter. How do you get deep turns at the end of April? Slog for most of one day, further than most logical people would consider worth it, into the glorious Wild Basin of Rocky Mountain National Park. Dave Reed, Andrew Steger, Jeff Moskowitz and I got out and enjoyed a full day in the middle of nowhere and couldn’t be happier about it. Simply put – “All good things take time.”
