12/4/2011 to 12/26/2011 – Here are a few photos from a couple of recent tours out into the Wasatch backcountry. The first photo is of Scott Anderson enjoying some funky sugar pow in the Silver Fork Meadows on December 4th. A couple of the old Niwot Ridge crew were en-route to San Francisco and swung in for a couple days, fortunately for them getting the best snow of the season so far in Utah! The next photo is of Scott Livingstone soaking in the views of Mt. Superior and Cardiac Ridge on a wandering morning tour from Silver Fork to Flagstaff Mountain on December 17th. The last couple of photos are from yesterday (the day after Christmas) skiing my first descent of the Andrew McLean’s legendary Chuting Gallery book – the Suicide Chute on Mt. Superior. It was an excellent quick tour out with Wasatch local Matt Primomo and a good buddy from Seattle, Oscar Lilienthal. Although the snow has been exceptionally low, I am getting excited at the opportunities the Wasatch will have to offer this season and can’t wait to get out more! Enjoy the photos, merry belated Christmas and have a happy new year!
