10/5 to 10/7/2018 – October is the perfect time to get outside. Burket, Brett and I were craving some of that time outside, so we tossed together a quick 3-day/2-night bikepacking trip around the Yaak. Winding through old growth stands of larch and cedar, the empty stretches of dirt logging roads brought peace to our recently busied minds. The authentic backwoods singletrack kept us present in the moment. And the snow, the sleet, and the cold kept us honest. It was a beauty of an autumn trip where we enjoyed two nights in fire-lookouts and some genuine solitude in this special corner of our state.
