5/5 to 5/8/2022 – I received an unexpected message from Burket a few days before this trip asking if I had any interest in a last minute booking of the Asulkan Hut off Rogers Pass, BC. The hut looked empty that weekend and there was still decent snow coverage so I figured why not? Burket must have been communing with Ullr or something because boy-oh-boy did we nail the timing on this quick trip!

We ended up rolling up for a weekend of excellent skiing in classic Roger’s terrain with a stable spring base and a 10cm refresh of snow each night. And best of all, we had it all to ourselves. A tip of the cap to you Mr. Kniveton for scheming this unforgettable slice of heaven!
